Well… we don’t like psychedelics, surrealistics, fractals ….we love it!!!
Fractalic design is all about the above and is here to share with you our passion and craft. our aim is to spread the psychedelic and fractal visuals through Our t-shirts and art work, so it reaches into peoples daily life for everybody’s pleasure. Due to our endless days of painting and clothing designing background it seems only natural to combine the two into one and spread our art and vision through printed garments. so we put up a workshop and a new collection to start with. we styled the t-shirts to fit our taste and printing was good to go…
The designs
“Fractalic design” is a portal into fractal based graphic art designed by our life long artist and designer Dafna . The originally created designs of fractalic design.com are inspired by the feeling of easy flowing and the notion of worlds within worlds that’s given by the fractal shapes. The fascinating, chaotic feeling and psychedelic elements, dominating the fractalic curve are all combined and shaped into our graphic designs. Starting with a random fractal shape, made with the assistance of fractal-generating software, we begin to improvise, trying to let the fractal lead the way and reveal one of its infinite true natures…
The printing
All prints are hand-made by us in an old school way with no machinery involved in the process (except for our trusty curing oven). due to the all over prints that we make, a lot of effort is invested into making it light weight and thin. in order to achieve that we use some special color bases that helps the color integrate perfectly with the cotton. the outcome is a very light wight print which is very vital looking ,very resistant , and feels very smooth. it becomes one with the shirt. moreover those big size prints are somewhat more complex to print so each and every one gets its full attention and quality control.
The t-shirts
Our t-shirt figure was designed especially by us aiming to achieve the perfect combination between looks and comfort. it fits great on the body without any feeling of tightness . the 100% knitted cotton we use for our t-shirts is the highest quality cotton available therefore very soft to the touch.
The fractals
Fractals are fragmented complex geometrical shapes that do not correspond to simple geometry and duplicate themselves repeatedly, seemingly into infinity. These chaotic shapes surround us every minute of our lives. Their amazing patterns can be easily found in plants like Ferns or Broccoli; in animal parts like the peacock’s tail or the wings of a butterfly; in water shades, rolling clouds,the flash of lightning,the cosmos… Hidden to the naked eye, these patterns reveal themselves through a microscopic view in crystals, germs and snowflakes.
